Problem w/ Throttle Position Sensor ... need help!

So my car is idling at 2000 RPMs and has a check engine light for the throttle position sensor (TPS), code PO122. I bought a new TPS and installed it, but it didn't fix anything. From searching the forums I know that the TPS should read .97-1.0 volts at idle and 4.5-5 volts at WOT. However, these are reversed on my car ...... the voltmeter reads around 4.8 volts at idle and .7 volts at idle!!!

Is there any trick to installing these things that I am missing??

I am now absolutely clueless on this one ..... any help would be great. Thanks.

Am I missing something here? I thought the TPS was supposed to read 0.9 volts at idle. You car is not reversed...I don't think.

Since you replaced the TPS, it would seem that the problem lies elsewhere. Do you have a stock TB? If you added one, when? Did you just recently add a CAI or clean you K&N filter (if you have one). These are factors that could affect your idle too.

The fact that you are getting a TPS code is strange. Sure seems like it is the TPS, I just don't know how it could be reversed.
