Projector Headlamp Adustment

So I purchased these cool looking Halo projection headlamps and installed them a couple of weeks ago. They had what looks like an adjustment mechanism on the back of each headlamp assembly but it doesn't seem to make any difference in the height of beam no matter which way you turn the adjustment knob. Has anyone else had any luck with these? I've attached a picture of what I am talking about.

yeah i got some also from ebay. you just have to play with the knobs. they can be tricky

With these projector headlamps for our Mustangs, can you install a HID kit with them? Just curious if the projector lens actually helps put down a better, more defined beam of light with a HID kit than the regular halogen headlamp housings do.

I miss my E46 projectors....

Yes, but you'll probably melt the housing as they weren't designed for a true HID bulb.

they use a different type bulb in mine so you would have to do some research to get the correct hid bulb, my lights use 2 different bulbs

How so? All reputable HID kits have bulbs that burn at a cooler temp than Halogens.
Why havent my HID's burnt up my housing or my GF's in her '06 RSX? Or my buddies Integra?
