What psi should i run this weekend at epping? i have a set of dry weather only kumhos. they are 255 40 up front, 275 40 out bacck.
i used to run like 50 upfront and 18psi rear but i dont know if that was good or not. if it matters i have a six speed and 373 gears with like 280 rear hp and i weigh in at like 3300lbs. probably gonna leave the line anywhere from 2500 to 3500rpm

50 up front seems pretty high.
Also, the best way to find out if 18psi is the best for your tires and your combo is to do burnouts somewhere. If the patch is in the middle of the tires, you have too much psi. If you have lines on the sides, you need more psi.
I would then lose 2 psi for the track.

You need to run more than 18psi on a street type low profile radial like that. I would start around 26psi and work you're way up from there until they work best. My experience is that 28-32 psi works good but every tire/wheel combo is a bit different.
