Question about changing the spark on a forced induction car?

Lately my car has been acting kinda funny. It feels like the car surges or hick ups below 2k rpms when I am just crusing. At first I thought my clutch was going out since I am still using the stock clutch with over 57K miles on it. I then grabbed my air/fuel ratio's from my dyno tune and saw that at 1800rpm my A/F was at 14.3, at 1900rpm it was at 13.5 2000rpm it was 12.8 and then 2100 was at 11.9. So I grabbed my SCT X2cal and adjusted my spark between 0-2k rpms -4 degrees and from 2000-4000rpms -2 degrees. It seems to be running a lot smoother now. Could that have fixed the problem or is it just randomly not acting up now?
