i just got the newest escort detector for christmas, passport 8500 X50 i believe is the model. it has already saved me from at least one ticket. the other day on a straight road it went off well before i could see the cop car, let alone tell that it was a cop. i'd recommend it. it detects laser also but most likely if it goes off for laser it is already too late, but around here, most of the cops are very obvious when using laser because it can only be used from a stationary position

My solution for not getting a speeding ticket: DON'T SPEED!

Or go so fast that they cant catch you. I had some SOB go by my radar at 3am yesterday doing 136mph. Noooo way I could catch that in the ole' crown vic.

Fiveohh, I think the X50 is what I'm going to get. It's supposedly one of the best available. (after doing lots of reading)
