Re-furbing the main engine wiring harness?

Before I tore my motor down I was having some intermittent electrical issues. So today as I was getting ready to clean up the engine bay, I decided to pull the main harness that connects the battery +/-, grounds, fuse box, O2's, Oil sensor and starter. I was planning to dissect the whole thing, redo the loom and repair any nasty wires. Has anyone done this?? Also, how much is that part from the Ford dealer? Last I heard the harness was about $250 But if I can buy it somewhere for under $100 I'm all over that.

you can probably pick one up cheaper in the classified over at corral.

thats going to be alot of work to rewire all that like you want to do.

Last time I checked in Summit, it was like $250 still. I wouldn't mind doing that, but I'm not spending the next $250 I get on it.
