Real Easy Quick Question

Im doing a 3g 130 amp alternator swap soon, the 2 black/orange stripe wires I cut off the big connector for the stock plug, should I connect these 2 wires together, or tape them up seperately? Thanks BTW I have read quite a few different 3g conversion articles and it wasnt very clear to me on what u had to do with them, and plus since some say to leave them connected to the new alternator so just asking you guys first hand what to do

Wow, everyone got a 3G for the Holidays!

I chose to leave the stock charge wires in the OEM plug. I simply spliced into the stator wire (in that same plug) and then insulated the plug and hid it away. In other words, I literally did not touch those two stock charge wires (other than to insulate their plug).

Just one version of how to do it.

Right, more power for add-on accessories, i.e. electric fan, stereo.
