Is this necessary when swapping cams? My stock balancer looks fine. Just wondering if I might as well do this when I have it all tore apart. What about the timing gears? Summit has a lot of timing chain and gear sets.

Yeah, I would at least do the chain and sprockets (as a set). One can get some nice HD roller chains/new sprockets for not a whole lot money. (I would not put a new chain on old sprockets).

The balancer is easy to R/R later, so I would not sweat it as much for now.

Just my thinking. Good luck Chris. :nice:

All right, there are single non-roller, double roller, steel, billet steel, and iron sets. I figured iron would work just fine right? Also, where can I get a cam degreeing kit, so I know exactly where the cam is degreed when I install it?
