I have BFG KDW 245/45/17. Because this is a shorter tire your wheel gap will increase. You could do a conservative drop of 1.2 to 1.5" but you will still have a gap. If I had to do it again I would choose 255/50/17, which I had on their before or even 245/50/17.

There is an advantage of using shorter tire such as 245/45/17. Your gears will be lower. I have 4.10s but I am running the equivalent of 4.23s.( I know! No such gears)

I think I need to move up to 18s. Then I could get 255s or 275s.
My biggest beef....is the beef of the bigger wheels. I'm all about less rotating unsprung weight. I'd like to get something forged that LOOKS great, but doesn't cost an arm/leg.
