I am looking at changing out my rear end as well as the pinion gear. Now i was looking at them all and I am not sure what to go with. Also I have a sort of stupid question, the ring a pinion gear is it a limiter or a multiplier? As in a 4.10 gear for every one turn of the axle do the wheels turn 4.10 times or for every 4.10 turns of the axle do the wheels turn once. I currently run about 300hp. Later this year however I am going to be dropping in a 347 stoker at 410hp or a 408 stoker at 450+hp. I have had the 4.10 gear recommended to me. If the gear is a multiplier that makes sense to get the most power from the engine, however if it is a limiter then there is no reason to go with a higher gear and to only go with a low 3 gear.
