I currently have a 1.75 sealed box in my mustang with one 12" Infinity Perfect DVC that keeps blowing. When I had the box custom built I told the builder to create the dimensions I wanted the box to be but the area for the sub to be 1.0 cu/ft. Long story short it is not 1.0 cu/ft its more like 1.75 cu/ft. So I was looking at the Rockford Fosgate Punch HX2 RFD2212 Sub to replace it. My question is I would run a 600 watt JBL amp to it, is that too much? The specs of the box fall under the specs for the sub but the power I would give it would be more than suggested. Anyway if there is a better sub for that box and amp please lemme know. The only thing is the depth has to be 7" or less.
