What's it Worth? So...how much for my car?

No i'm not selling. Time to renew my insurance coverage with Haggerty and need to update my agreed value. What number do you guys think is reasonable "replacement cost" for my car. I'll pad it a bit beyond that, but I don't want to overpay for insurance or raise any red flags requiring me to go get an appraisal.

Not going to list mods or pics. Most of your guys know the car.

I’d vote mid teens
At least around my area, that’s what Super nice ones go for
That's not how you want to set agreed-upon value on a classic.

You need to set the value at what it would cost to actually replace the car.

If a clean fox of similar year/options goes for the mid teens, and then he has $10k worth of mods, the coverage needs to be at least in the mid 20s.

ElSuperPinto is on liability only until it's got a lockable garage to live in. At that point, I'll do the body work and paint, and after that, I'll have insured through Hagerty or Grundy for no less than $30k in agreed value. That's how much it'll cost to duplicate it after the super-secret powertrain swap, body, paint, interior, etc. are done.
