I'm trying to find a urethane rear bumper cover for my 2007 Mustang GT. I have a strong suspicion that the OEM rear bumper cover is made of TPO (Thermoplastic) which seems to be as fragile as cardboard. It will easily gash or shed its paint on the lightest of impacts.

The stock bumper cover only costs $140 + s/h or tax (as appl.) whereas Ford urethane covers have generally costed several hundred dollars more.

My other Fords all had yellow urethane bumper covers which were far more durable even upon impact by other cars. My GT's rear cover has a hole because an aluminum table contacted it, and it had deep scratches (down to the black plastic) from my garden hose gently tapping a corner.

At this point, I see no point in replacing/repairing my bumper cover unless someone makes a durable urethane cover that isn't part of a $2000 body kit.

Any help would be appreciated!
