To all the people with upgraded ignition boxes/coils/wires, what are you setting your spark gap to? From what I got from a search, you can set it higher than stock - but how much? Will a greater spark gap help with WOT pinging issues since it will allow for a better burn? I haven't checked my spark gap yet. I have a CraneCam box + coil, MSD wires and MSD dist.

old rule of thumb is to open it up till you get a misfire, and then back it down some. i think quite a few safely run .060 w/o probs. there wont be a huge gap increase, like with other cars' ignitions, cuz the TFI ignition is very robust and strong for an OEM ignition (IMHO).
