spark plug coil wire question

i just got new FRPP 9mm spark plug wires and the coil wire is like 8 inches long, but there is an extra longer one, however the coil elbow fitting is different, and i dont know how to take it from the short wire and put it on the longer one. Someone please explain this to me, thanks

The other one is for a carb application or if you've changed you coil to the old style type.

well i have a carb and a new coil... so how do i change the 90* fitting?
