Over the weekend I changed my original motorcraft plugs with a new set of the AWSF-32PMs. I was expecting the original plugs in my car to be the AWSF-32PP but they were the newer AWSF-32PM (longer thread) plugs. My car is an '04. I also noticed that each of the old plugs I pulled from my car where all gapped at .060 or over.
My question is, is it sometimes common for plugs to widen their gap over time or is this a manufacturer f*up?
