Stock air intake help needed

Hi all, I picked up a 96 GT that has an aftermarket air intake on it. I need to replace it with a stock one to run SCCA Solo II FS class, so I picked up a stock air intake off of ebay. The stock system has a K&N filter in it. When I went to attach the filter housing to the mass air sensor, something must be missing between the housing and the sensor because there is a gap there. Found a picture online from K&N showing some sort of a screen seated in that area. Is this screen all that is missing? Was going to check a salvage yard later today to see what they had, but wanted to make sure I was getting the rights parts (if they have any...).

yes there is a mesh screen wth a rubber o-ring around it for sealing the air box to the MAF.
1996 to 2004 GT's and Most DOHC's use the same part and if you can't find it at the junk yard, check the dealer, part # F6TZ-9E931-AA and sells for @$34.00 list
