stupid tpms

Not uncle Sam's fault....blame your fellow citizens that lease cars and don't care about maintenance.....run their tires bald and never check their air pressure...I see it all day long at the shop....if they just put a little care into their vehicle they wouldn't blow tires and flip over and kill people. :nono:
 
Check your spare if you haven't yet.

While it's always a good idea to make sure you spare is inflated, the spare does not have a TPMS sensor in it. If it did, the light would always be on. The sensors do not "wake up" until they reach a certain speed, I believe around 20 MPH. They need to be rotating at that speed for that to happen.
