SVE DUAL FANS

Put the stock clutch fan and shroud back on.
The stock fan is reliable and effective.

If you really want electric fans or fan, use a better controller and a real ford fan.
Sorry I wasn’t, and am not an expert on this.
It had an old E fan on it so in my mind I was upgrading.
So the controller is screwed.
I’m gonna replace it.
Hope I get something that is worth a :poo:.
I guess that is how it stands.
The Derale was suggested, so I’M gonna order it tonight.
Hell— at this point what’s another $$$$ :(

OK. I got it. Diesel-electric.
You don't want that Derale 16759. Max output is 25A.
This is a hyperlink (or link for short)
It's just a relay & some connectors.
A PWM controller (Pulse Width Modulation) is a soft start controller. It limits the electric fan starting current (in-rush).
It's also automatically variable speed based on temp sensor input.
Derale 6795 or 6796
Notice DCC patent number at bottom of specs? United States Patent: 7006762
Just buy the DCC; you should have it before T-Giving, maybe sooner.

:) Thank you very much.
I think I will go ahead order the DCC you mentioned.
At least I’ll have it on hand when the next piece of crap controller I’m ordering goes to Hell.
Seriously, why not?
Okay—Derale 6795 or 6796

I do wanna thank you, especially thanks for your patience with my dumbass questions.

Start saving up for the Coutour fan to put the DCC on.
DCC used to have flow & dimensional data for all these fans.
He tested them all himself; most of the internet facts are alternative facts.
Couldn't find it on his website.

When I got my car, the dumbass previous owner had it controlled by a manual switch. I got a simple controller and installed it. A few weeks later the AC blew out. Doh. If you have AC, make sure to hook that up and ignore the advice of those that don't.
I solved the problem by going with the stock fan setup. The only thing I didn't like about that was the sound. Overall, it's a lot more reliable and easier to deal with and what I'd do again. Fairly inexpensive to get an all new fan/clutch from LMR and be done with it forever.

If I keep having trouble I’ll do that.
Meantime I ordered a new controller from Summit as I wasn’t happy with LMR ‘s response.
Today LMR called me and ask what I wanted to do.
Told them what I did.
They said they would reimburse me for the controller.
Totally surprised me as I wasn’t asking for that.
Very impressed with LMR’s customer service.
The A/C will be hooked up.

I didn't see if you said you have an upgraded alternator and wiring.
If you don't, the fans are probably never going to work right.
The stock one can barely handle a foxbody without electric fans.
