Progress Thread Tannerc91gt’s Build(s) Thread

I'm looking into this guys. The settings in the forum appear to be correct but the server is refusing to process the images. I've elevated this to MRaburn and I'll holler back once I have either an answer or a solution.

I'm hoping it will be a solution because this all worked before the hardware swap yesterday. It may be some global setting outside of our forum software.

You think Russian hackers or bots?

Oh, so I can upload THAT picture :rlaugh:

Should work now.

Not moving as quickly as I had envisioned but I think I’ve accepted I’ll be a few months later than I thought. Better late than never, or early with a build I’m not happy with I guess.

Mounted the 3.5” Holley screen. Not sure if that’s where I’ll want it but going to try it out just as a wideband reading.
Also replaced the “cigarette” lighter with a usb bulkhead so I can now plug my laptop into the console and don’t have to fish for the ECU cable or string anything out.

All the more reason to like the ECU where it ended up, under the passenger seat.

Someone made me some 9” adapter brackets to run stock brakes. I got all the rear brake stuff in, just waiting on axles.
Hoping to order those tomorrow, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little unsure of my measurements.

Tonight I worked on the trunk a little more. Built a mount to put the compressor under the trunk instead of inside.
And zip tied the trans cooler for an approximate location to build a mount for it as well.

I’m really not sure how to approach building the trunk floor itself. So far I cut out an opening for the fuel tank sump but I’m not sure I like where I’m headed with it.
Or if it will end up a noisy SOB when it’s done.

I like it. Will there be a bulkhead between the trunk and backseat? If so-noise probaly won’t be an issue

Yeah, will have to have one to be track legal. Caught between a scottrod deal and building something like a traditional rear seat delete with osb and carpeting. And then maybe attaching that to some .040 aluminum to pass tech.
The concern with the trunk and scottrod back seat is the metal rattling or popping being large thin sheets.

It’s still saying a couple photos are too large but here’s what uploaded.

Just an update as to how unfinished the turbo kit still is. Avoiding it as long as possible I think.

I did get the trans cooler and the air compressor mounted. And built a little cover for the fuel cell fittings, so it looks a little less hack job now. Think I’ll start welding in the floor tomorrow and just ride with it.

I also ordered my spool and axles today.
Having a weird combination of an 8.8 axle, 9” ends, GT brakes and one-off type brake brackets meant asking and answering a lot of questions. Fingers crossed the axles show up in a usable configuration.

Haters might hate but I'm still your father, Becky.

Send me a copy of the ones that don't upload. Are taking these with a digital SLR?
An iPhone 7 Plus. Essentially the greatest camera ever wielded.

Is there a new size limitation?
In a twist of fate, I don’t have to re-rotate half of what I upload now so it’s almost a good trade off
