when I start to accelerate my check engine light will come on, as I drive for a little bit the TC will finally engage and the CEL will turn off, and for the rest of the trip the light will not come back on. ex: I was driving today going 75 running 3000 rpm after about 10 min the TC engaged and dropped to 2700 rpm and th CEL went off. The TC was replaced by a ford mech. about 6 months ago. Problem started after top end rebuild.
