Google did not take me to any old posts anywhere for any forum on what's the norm to go ahead and change while the engine is out so wondering if there's something here possibly? I just pulled my first engine and it was quite a task though not as bad as expected. I'm putting the motor that's in my sig in a 94 cobra and going to change up a few things. I'll get bbk LT's with an X and probably spintech mufflers, I guess it's likely time for a new clutch as it's a King cobra in there and has been since 2003 and 100 k ago, motor mounts I guess since they look like they have some age. I know we changed them out since the motor swap in 02 but likely has been probably 10 yrs ish and maybe at the lease 50-75 k miles if not more. You can get an idea looking at the pics if they are in the particular few I'll post. I will inspect for front and rear main seal leaks. If new clutch then ofcourse a new rear main would be wise. I might be missing some things I'm sure so fill me in and if there's a sticky let me know too. Actually around 8 k miles had a broken spring on no. 2 and re did the heads and had the car tuned again a year later. Car was running the best it ever had since the swap

The norm as mentioned.

Rear main seal
Clutch (if old)
Flywheel (if heated)
Motor Mounts (if trashed)

I went a little further because I have OCD. Here was my list:

Booster - mine was rusted, had no idea either. Changed the booster and master cylinder at the same time. Painted the booster in ceramic black.
Moved all the wiring harnesses into the fenders.
Ditched the EGR System
While under the dash I changed to a Steeda Clutch Cable and Steeda Firewall Adjuster
Welded to close a bunch of holes, steel to fill larger holes.
Repainted the engine bay.
Painted Valve Covers.
Painted the fuel rails gold to match the Valve Covers.
All new vacuum lines.
New Alternator
Painted all the Accessory Brackets.
Polished my Edelbrock Intake and Elbow.
Sway Bar End Link Replacement.
Sway Bar Bushing Replacement.

Here are videos of the work. It's still ongoing. There are more than these, just posted the ones for my list.

Cool Beans man thanks I'll check out the videos a little later

Pan gasket and any other gasket you can get to is a good idea as well, also water pump etc (not easier with the engine out but since the coolant will be all drained might as well). Otherwise the above is creating quite a solid list.
