Those who are good with the ipod and itunes software?!?!?!

Okay I just got a 30g ipod. It is the new one that plays video and music. Here are my questions--

1.) Can I play .wmv or .asx files. If so how to I get them on the itunes software? If not how can I convert them?

2.) I want to put Movies on my ipod. How do I do that. Is there any way to save my DVD movies to my hard drive and then save them to itunes?

I am sure I will have more questions later. I had the 4g mini for a year ran out of room. So I had to upgrade.

don't know about the first question, but i now you can "rip" dvd's and even compress them to well below the normal size of a dvd--that way you'll be able to fit more on your 30 gig--which is cool, btw. i think a program that most like is easy dvd shrink. i havn't tried it, been looking for it but can't find it.

How do I get the videos on the ipod. I can see them in my library but they will not update into my ipod.

sorry man, can't help you there as i've never used an ipod and am not at all familiar with it.
