Timing Cover / Water Pump bolts 94-95 5.0 vs 93 and below 5.0???

Anyone know what the difference is (or if there is a difference) between the 94-95 bolts and the 93 and below that makes them not fit????

I found a guy (boltlocker) on ebay that sells 93 and below for $35. He's doing research for me to find out why (if) the 94-95's need a different kit or not.

I'm wondering if I could just get a kit for 93 and below and it would workout.

Anyone have any ideas here???

The 94-95 Stang have a shorter front on the engine than the earlier ones. They are like the 91-93 Tbird and Cougars. The only real differance is the Bird uses different way of mounting the fan clutch to the water pump than tha Stang. The water pumps and front covers are shorter than the Fox Stangs.

Wow....you didn't waste any time snagging that bolt kit.
Let me know how you like the quality of the bolts. I'm thinking of ordering the 87-93 kit when I swap out my waterpump next week.

LOL!!

Yeah, I really wanted to get things ordered so that now that I'm back in town I can get er runnin by sunday. The bolts look good, I forget what grade they are (Hopefully 8) Only problem is that they use washers instead of being built into the head of the bolt. Otherwise they look good. If I have any problems, I'll let you know.
