Timing Mark

I'm in the process of pulling me intake manifold off and trying to get my engine to tdc but I'm not seeing any numbers on my harmonic balancer as stated in the Chilton manual. All I am seeing is this mark indented as shown in the picture. Is this tdc? Also trying to make life easier getting the distributor back on after I put everything back to together. The Chilton manual is confusing at times

I believe that is not the tdc mark. They are tiny lines, you may have it 180* past it, you also may have to take a wire brush to it to actually see them.

That's not the mark. There are 40 degrees of markings on the other side of the balancer from 30 BTDC to 10 ATDC. You just need to clean off the balancer to find them. Lots of rust on that thing.
