Opening day is tomorrow at my track, and I was wondering if I should drop the pressure in my BFG DR's at all. I'd be doing this once I got to the track. I know it's not something you do on street tires, but I figured I'd ask, since I have drag radials.

I run my bfg drag radials at 11-13psi. Im sure you want to run more than that with an auto. A little bit of wheel spin is much better than bogging.

I would suggest around 16 to start off with.

Well, I made 6 runs yesterday. I started at 15psi and it was ok, but once I dropped it down to 11ish, they really bit. With 15psi, I would get a little spin in 2nd and a chirp in 3rd, but at 11psi, it was a chirp in 2nd and 3rd bit.

Ahhh........you can't leave us hanging like that!:D What kind of times did you pull?

I made another thread about it. My best was 13.6@101, and there is a TON of room for improvement! I'm going back Wednesday to try some different techniques. I'm not sure when to shift, though. I'm gonna try 5500 the first run and see how it goes.
