I own a 1966 coupe that currently has 17" wheels/tires. I want to go for a more classic look w/ a 14" rim. I also want a similar height/stance if possible. What size tire do I need to go with on a 14" rim if the current size of the tires are 245/45 on a 17" rim?

Thank you in advance for any assistance someone might be able to offer.

Im glad to see someone else doing that. Our cars look so much better with the right size wheels. In my opinion 15 is the perfect size wheel with a 215 60 15 tire.

If you want to run a 14 then like rbohm said, a 215 70 14 or a 205 will be a good size.

Before you buy wheels though, you may want to check to see if the previous owner didn't upgrade the brakes. If that was done, you may not be able to go to a 14 inch wheel.
