Well, fwiw... I thought i had the header tight, but when i reinstalled it, turns out that outside bolt was bottoming out in the hole, so it felt snug, but my blind old azz didn't notice it wasn't made up perfectly, rather had maybe .015 gap not made up. At least it did without the gasket, so it wasn't as tight as it could have been. I chased the threads in the head and shortened the bolt a fuzz and lived happily ever after.
