So I admit it, I know very little about my tranny. The engine and suspension I could do in the dark, but that ominous tranny I have stayed away from as though it took magic. I was working on the suspension a few days ago (not in the dark) when I noticed tranny fluid on the floorboards. Not a lot, but enough to be concerned. The car is a 68 with a C4, and all the fluid seems to start at the tailshaft of the tranny and flows back. Is there a gasket or seal in the rear of the tranny that could be leaking or bad? Thanks for the input.
