Just wondering if the newer style Bellhousing is the way to go with a Tremec 3550/TKO Swap.

I was thinking of going with the Lakewood Scattreshield part # 15202
It is listed for 79-95 Fords.

Will it work on 67 289 with no problems.

I just bough a Hays Steel 157 tooth flywheel.

Any other possible pitfalls I should be concerned with?

50 oz vs. 28 oz. balance is one to watch for. The 1982 Ford 302 was the first with the 50 oz balance on the flywheel, and all 302s after that date have the 50 oz balance.

For 302 engines like yours made prior to 1982, you want a flywheel with a 28 oz balance.
