I bought a set of older (mid 90's) Trick Flow heads, and upon cleaning and inspection I noticed that a majority of the valve stem tips have a groove worn into them from the roller rocker tip that can be felt with my finger. Are the valves supposed to rotate? What could cause this issue? They are Ferrea stainless valves, and I'm not sure on the brand of rocker arms. They're black and aluminum.

The heads aren't installed on anything right now, and we're pulled off of the last engine at around 10k miles. From what I was told, the engine had a Melling high volume oil pump on it as well, and no oil restrictors were used either.
