With a stock block with stock pistons, can I use a Trick Flow Stage 1 cam with 1.7 rockers and a Edlebrock Performer 60cc head? Will the PTV clearance be ok?

With trick flow heads it will work..but the valves/head design is different on the Edlebrock heads ..so check the PTV clearance. Using 1.6 rockers would be better and would work.. But using the 1.7 rockers will change the lift of the cam from 499/510 to 530/542 and with those heads you will need to check the PTV clearance.

Check it, check it, check it. That's the only way way you will know for sure. And engines are way too expensive to take any chance.

I checked mine when I built my motor and had plenty of room. KB replacement pistons, TFS1 cam, 1.7 FMS rollers, Eddy Brock 60cc Performer heads.

I got some light springs at ACE Hardware. Trick is to get the checking springs light enough to be able to easily compress by hand, but firm enough to hold the valve closed and against the retainer.
