(UPDATE, more pictures!) I was just offered a Fox Body for $1,000. Help me decide if I should take on this burden

Anybody that considers the process of fixing up a car as “ taking on a burden” ,....shouldn’t.
Anybody that needs pushing to do something, usually stop doing that something when they stop getting pushed.

Pass on the car. Even if it’s free, you have to have several things to be able to come out ahead.
1. Space.
2.Time.
3. Money.
4. Skill.
5 Aptitude.

Mike is right on several points.
I would say you have to start someplace, if the body is sound it may be a good choice mostly because this is a fairly clean slate, if he makes a plan and follows it he could have a good learning experience,
