Man, this is going to be an awesome build. Can't wait to see it all come together. Dedicated race cars are awesome. What class are you running?

The WCSA (wcsaracing.com) has a Outlaw 8.5 class (26 X 8.5) that I am building the car for. I would like to run a 10.5 tire but man, I am a few (as in LOTS) tens of thousands of $ short of being able to compete with the likes of Paja who's 10.5 tire 69' Camero runs DEEP in the 7's. Hell, he has as much in his engine as I will end up having in the whole damn car! Anyway, even the 8.5 tire cars are running so fast, that they are limiting them to 1/8 mile runs due to tire safety issues. I don't think Hoosier or M/T thought that guy's would be going mid 8's at over 170mph on just a 26 X 8.5" tire when they came out with that tire size. Should be fun tho to see if I can get this thing hooked up on that small tire:D

race crafts is about to blow that 8.5 class up out west... they are taking barry mitchells old X275 car and putting a procharged LSX in it for a customer out there. should be able to run a high 4 to the 1/8

That would be sick..........right now a 5.4 in the 1/8 is pretty much top dog. If someone can get a high 4 out of an 8.5 tire I don't stand a snowballs chance in hell.
