Varying boost at 6000 rpms

Lately ive noticed that in 3rd gear at 6000 rpms on my factory tach. ( 5600 on the dyno ) my charger makes almost 11lbs of boost, but in 4th gear at the same rpms boost levels are between 9-10 lbs. Anything less than 3rd gear and i dont get a chance to look at the boost gauge as the car tends to get squirley pretty easy on the street. I still have the stock long block, and I know my valve springs have takin a beating since the charger went on because I missed a shift a couple of times and really over reved the engine. My car is well maintained and hardly uses any oil and doesnt blow smoke. Im just at a loss as to why the boost levels would vary in different gears at the same rpms.

That sounds like the belt is slipping but then when in 4th some of the load is off the engine so less back pressure which means less boost.

Thanks for the replys. I was thinking that there would be more of a load in the top of 4th than the top of 3rd, and that was were I was unsure as to what was going on.
