I was getting ready to leave for work this morning, started the stang and let her warm up. Waited a few minuates and it seemed like she was ready to go so I pulled out of my parking spot and it stalled. This is pretty unusual but I figured it was a bit colder than usual so I started it again. It was running really funny so I decided to park it but before I shut it off I noticed the voltmeter needle was bouncing back and forth wildly tapping the pins from one side to the other and the lights were dimming and getting brighter like a slow strobe.
Just checked it tonight and when I opened the door the dome light was doing the same thing but not as bad, when I started it it did the whole electical surging thing again.
Logic tells me it is the voltage regulator or maybe the alternator. Anyway, I want to heare everyone's thoughts on this and would now be a good time to go to a one wire alt setup or just buy the voltage regulator?
Thanks,
Josh
