I’m building a 1966 Shelby GT-350 Convertible, want to know what type of 4 spd was installed? And if it’s a Borg Warner T-10, what was the spline count? And is anyone selling one? Thanks for any input given.
Never really cared for that transmission ,if you are building a real shelby then i would ,lf you are building a replica go with the top loader . I have yet to see a T10 that doesnt jump out of gear when you let up hard under load
shelby used the T10 because it is lighter than the top loader, and it was a carry over from 1965 when the top loader was not as available as the T10 was. though i think in 66 you could find top loaders in street GT350s, and i think in 67 on the T10 was ultimately dropped.
