I have a SN-95 But my Transmission is an AOD. I use a non-lockup converter. B&M Hole Shot 2400 currently. Transmission is out of the car still.
I'm running 3.73 gears and a Mild cam that peaks around 6500RPM The Motor is a 351 Stroked to a 383 6.2" Rods Neutral balanced rotating assembly.
I had my local transmission builder go threw my transmission to do some repairs and he suspects the converter has "balooned". (He knows his stuff) I need something that will hold 650lbs/tq. Or if at all possible maybe send this one out to have it rebuilt stronger than i got it.
I also want to know what stall would be ideal for a mostly street car.
So who makes a good converter? Who does a great job rebuilding them?
