Hi there,
its a basic question i know, i'm not great with searching, sorry about that.
but i can't afford to fork out the money and get the wrong kit, or pay for more kit than i will need. there seems to be a huge array of kits on eBay, universal types, snap on with various numbers which when i research are for Japanese vehicles' and a number of other brands. also they range in price from $30-$400. one brand (start i think it was) says its for testing modern cars up to 30lbs but starts at 19#, which obviously isn't ideal
i just want to pressure test my cooling system and be able to test the radiator caps as well. i have a 65 (289 standard), its an aluminium rad but takes a standard ford cap.
can anyone point me in the right direction (link?) for a suitable tool. most of the ones i read on eBay and around don't mention they test the cap, just the radiator/system. the only ones i have found (a universal kit) that mentions it has adaptors to test caps is about $350. much of the gear that comes with it i am sure i don't need. i don't own any other animals
its doing my head in so any help much appreciated
cheers, old n rusty
