I have three mustangs. Two 5.0's and my recently aquired 2.3 (a repo). I decided to try and fix this thing up recently but I hit a snag. To get past the emissions test I have to get my check engine light, which is on because of my TPS, to go off. The problem is, every time I plug in the new TPS, My transmission stops shifting into overdrive. Has anyone had this problem?

You probably need to set the tps voltage. At idle, the voltage should be ~.9 volts. It is likely that when you installed it, the voltage ended up much higher than it should be, which indicates your throttle position is much higher. Of course, the transmission won't shift to OD if you are at a high throttle position.
