Window motor R&R

Ok time to do the passenger window motor... i've never changed the motors out before in a fox, only in an sn95 and it was a complete pita.. the whole track etc had to come out but I see with these there's only the motor so does anybody have any write ups or instructions on how to go about replacing the motor? I want to have some guide lines to follow before I start at it

Hmm...i've never replaced them but i've gutted the whole door and swapped in manual doors. I think if you support the window in the up position, you should be able to just unbolt it and swap it out, 3 bolts if i remember right.

The crude version is to support the window and unbolt the 3 window motor fasteners. Then undo the E-connector.

It takes longer to remove the door panel than to remove the motor.

The only thing I can add is you will have to remove it through the speaker hole, so if you have door speakers, you will have to remove the speaker first.
