Windsheild Wiper Questions

Greetings! I sold my mostly retored '78 coupe back in '95 and regretted it ever since. I recently rescued a '74 Fastback,V6/auto w/ 80K miles.. This is Phoenix, so 95% of the interior plastics are to be replaced over time. It had sat for about 2 yrs. I have got it up and running and back on the road but have a million things to replace. The windsheild wipers are working, but they seem pretty rickety. Also the drivers side arm doesn't seem to go to the left side as far as it should, but it seems to stop at the correct position at the windows bottom. How do I access the mechanics? I am assuming I have to remove at least part of the dash? Any tips would be great!

You might be able to access the motor if you take the dash pad off, but it will be tricky. When I fooled with mine, the interior was completely torn out as well as being probably close to 10 years ago now, so I can't say for sure if you will be able to reach. There isn't much adjustment in there though, so you may not find a suitable answer to gaining more travel. You may be better off removing/replacing the arm to get the sweep area you want.

To add on to this wiper question, I recently lost the little plastic clip to attach the blade to the arm, where can I find a replacement, or can I replace the arms with a newer stangs arms or something similiar?

I did the same thing to mine, haven't ordered a replacement yet, but I kept the links around.
