Always something with my cars....
Long story short, im buying a paxton novi 1000 kit along with an edelbrock performer rpm upper and lower intake.
Ive had a loud lifter tick on cold startup for awhile now, or even when that certain lifter is depressed after shutting off.
I sold my explorer intake setup tonight, and decided to pull lifters out to inspect. I pulled one apart that was in the engine, then took one of the old ones that came out before the rebuild and guess what- the ones that are in the car now are about a 1/4 of an inch longer!!! Wtf? They both came out of 302s, how is this possible?
Only thing i can think of is the lifters in the motor now are from an E7TE block, my block in the car is an F3SE.
I was just going to flip the lifters over so the bleed holes face the intake galley and hope that solves the issue.
