Window controls question?

I have a delema.

I recently bought a 2000 Mustang convertible that doesn't have a owner manual.

On the driver side door, directly under the window controls is a push button labeled 'Lock'. I have NO idea what this button does. It doesn't lock the doors, and I haven't been able to figure out what it's suppost to do.

If anyone knows, please let me know.

locks the window controls, with it on(pushed down) only the controls on the drivers door control the windows so if your passenger doesn't like thier hair blowing around with the top down TDB lol

Correct.

But is there another car with the same control panel? Like did the '94 Taurus have it or something?
It just always seemed odd that they went out of their way to make a switch panel to lock out only one other switch in the whole car. Like Ford was just using a part they already had to save money.
