on a 2000 mustang the window is rolling up too far and the top of the glass hits the roof of the car when closing the door....I searched the web and cant find any information...

Is there an adjustment on the power window regulator that limits how high the window goes up?

Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like it popped out of the track.

Just pull off the door panel and see if something isn't lining up right.

I had the a similar problem on my '01; with the door open, the window was leaning toward the car when it was all the way up. This was caused by my friend slamming the damn door when my window was down. When he slammed the door he popped a ball joint out of it's housing on the track. Easily fixed with vice-grips(or pliers). Took more time to take the door panel off than to fix the window.

Hi There - Did you ever get this issue resolved & if so what did you discover? I shut my door today & it acted as if something was in the way but I believe the window is going up to far as you mention, the door opens & shuts fine when its down a crack or more. Wierd it was fine when I parked it in the garage a few days ago with the window down but when I went to the store today I put it up as it had been raining & it was screwed up:(
Thanks for any input in advance!

i'd suggest the same as was suggested above... remove the door panel and check the track. it's probably slipped off.

Yeah I need to get my butt out there and take a peek, I did notice the passenger side window drops down a bit when it reaches the top of its travel & the drive side doesnt which is why its hitting.
