On a 2001 GT, I would like to put on 18x10s in the rear and 18x9s up front. I have a 2 inch drop (Eibach Sportlines), will this be a problem?
ALSO, does anyone know who has the best deal on Saleen rims?

PS. I need to update the Sig. Times are better!

Speedworx or Haneymotorsport should be able to give you a better deal
on real Saleen wheels than you can get directly from Saleen.

If you are looking at the chromes, you might want to check into the
replica Saleen wheels - I've heard the chrome is better on the replicas
than on the originals. I have the original chromes on my 99 Saleen
and the finish is really not that good. If/when I decide to replace them,
I will probably go with the replica's.

That reminds me, I have a set of the hyper-coated replica's, I need to check
and see if the Saleen center caps will fit...

here is pic of my car with BFG KDW 265/35/18 in the front and 295/35/18 with 1.5 inches drop

tfalk, what size tires are on your ride?

I'm assuming you mean my 99 Saleen? 295/35/18 rear and 265/35/18 front, the standard setup from Saleen when you order the 18x10 upgrade.

My 86 Saleen has 16x7 Rikens with 225/55/16's.

I have a set of the hyper-coated replica Saleen wheels that are going to go on the
Daytona Coupe when it's completed.

Can I go with 18x9's all the way around?

:OT: would 18x10s be too much for up front? also, what is the smallest tire size that would fit on these. im wondering if 255s will be enough

I think 10"s might be a bit much for daily driving, because the wider your fronts are the more your car will "track " on groves on the road, as far as 255's on a 10" wheel I'd say no way, the wheel would stick out past the rubber so far if you even came close to a curb, it'd be buh bye pretty wheel :( I've even considered going wider on my tires next time just in case. mabey 275 up front on the 9" and 305 on the 10".

I think 18x10's on the front would be almost impossible to mount. The 18x9's with
265's tramline quite a bit, I'd hate to try to turn 295's on the front. I don't know if
you could even mount them and clear the control arms due to the offset?

Saleen sells the fronts in 18x8.5 or 18x9. They sell the rears in 18x9 or 18x10. You need to look at the offsets, the 18x9 fronts and rears are different.

On my replica wheels, I have 245/40's on the fronts and 265/35's on the rears. They
look a little small for the wheels, but I got a steal on the tires and they will only be
temporary until I get the $$$ for a new set of BFG KD's.

As for the paint on the center caps, you can't use anything stronger than plain car
soap or you risk the paint coming off. I've also ruined a set using chrome wheel
cleaner. It's too harsh, or the Saleen paint/chrome sucks, and I think it's both.
