Bassani?????

Bassani doesn't make a set of longtube headers for our cars. The 87-93 versions won't fit without a lot of custom welding on the x-pipe. The problem is that the collectors are right where the transmission crossmember is. Do not try to install these in your driveway without an extra section of 3" stainless and a welder. Then there is the issue of the x-pipe being 3" and your catback most likely being 2 1/2. You will need some means to either reduce down to the 2 1/2" pipe or your catback will need to be 3" also.

As far as noise, I have two chamber flows, and it still drones quite loudly inside the vehicle and screams like NASCAR at WOT. So I would look into a different muffler other then flowmaster.

So could I buy a set of longtubes and a shorty X-pipe and take it to an exhaust shop? Think they could rig it up for me? About how much would this run me you think? Sorry about the string of questions. I have my heart set on Bassani longtubes for some reason.

Yes, but I would make sure that the exhaust shop has some performance orientation or you could end up with something that doesn't flow very well. It cost me $300 for the header install and x-pipe fabrication. Be prepared to do away with your EGR as there is no riser. Also your motor mounts need to be in good shape. One last note about the Bassani Longtubes is they are not welded at the collector so you will have an exhaust leak sooner or later. This is all just from my experience with them, you could have everything go perfect.
