egr simulator.... are they worth it??

They are worth it for me since the EGR was non functional with the Explorer intake install and removal of smog equipment. Toss all that junk out of the car!

On a stock intake setup, I could not tell you.

$40! Not worth it to me. I've made a couple of them for next to nothing. It may not look as nice as the piece above, but it'll save ya about $38 or so,lol. You need to remove the sensor by removing the 3 nuts on top. You'll see a metal plunger, this needs to be pushed in roughly 1/4" or so for the check engine light to NOT come on. Just experiment with it to see exactly where the location is then you'll need a way to keep the plunger at that point. I've super glued a large wire nut on it and a vacuum cap with a small zip tie. May seem ghetto but it works and its cheap. Then just tuck the sensor behind the intake, it'll never be noticed. With deleting the egr you may develop light throttle popping when cold, one of my cars did..one didn't.
