sup ya'll...just thought I'd let you know that my first real modification to the stang was done last weekend. I installed a custom CAI. went over to my local home depot and bought the stuff, for a smooth 15 bucks. It took both saturday and sunday to do, mainly because saturday was eaten up by buying the stuff, and modifing my airbox (which i eventually decided to bother using anyways) and letting the glue from attaching the K&N filter to the rubber cuppling dry. Sunday, was about an hour, sliding that sucker on in there, and tightening up my clamps. I like it. I dont really feel any power difference, not that I expected to. But when cruisng, if i stamp the gas, or down shift, you really hear it suck the air in, its cool...and usually at about 3-3.5 RPMS you hear a supercharger type whistle. Kinda cool, but i'd give up the sound in a heart beat to have the real thing. ok...enough babble.

how did u build it? i wanted to do this but i have no clue.....maybe a list of exact parts and measuremnts...

I'd give you exact parts and measurements, but...the "exact" ones i got, were far from it. Basically, you need a 3" 90 degree PVC elbow, two rubber couplings (that fit on the ends of the elbow of course), the necessary hardware to tighten the couplings (should come with the couplings), a K&N air filter, and some glue or other adhesive....

as far as directions, and any other questions...go here: http://www.v6power.net/articles/cai.htm

bear in mind however, his word is not law...somethings will be different, and some custom modification to the parts will be needed...not too hard to do...just make sure it's done right, and everything is secure at the end...
