rechroming chrome rims?

  • Sponsors (?)

I've seen it at about $125 per wheel. The thing is that they have to strip the wheel to the bare metal, polish it, copper plate it, polish THAT, nickel plate it, polish THAT, then chrome plate it and polish THAT. Plus you hafta figure in shipping.

I'm sure you could get a chrome layer added cheaper, but it prolly wouldn't last.

what does weather have to do with chroming? seems like a lengthy expensive process tho forsure :bang:
Not the actual process, but the hot/humid/rainy weather is murder on chrome rims, and none of the shops will offer any kind of warranty on the work, and dont wanna be hasseled with problems is they occur.
